Trichocereus Peruvianus 25 - 35 cm
The photo shows one of the 25-35 cm tall Trichocereus peruvianus longispinus cacti. These plants are unrooted cuttings. The cuttings can simply be placed in soil so that the cactus will root and continue to grow. Trichocereus peruvianus grows in a bushy to tree-like form. They usually have several shoots and reach heights of 1 to 3 meters. The shoots are blue-green to gray-green and have a diameter of 6 to 20 centimeters. The flower opens at night, is funnel-shaped, white, grows to between 22 and 25 centimeters long, and is fragrant. The plant grows in central to southwestern Peru at altitudes of 2700 to 3400 meters and in the Peruvian regions of Huancavelica, Ica, and Ayacucho at altitudes of 2200 to 2800 meters.
