Copiapoa Cuprea
The available seeds are 5 purebred Copiapoa Cuprea seeds.
Copiapoa cuprea is a rare and visually striking species of Copiapoa, native to the coastal deserts of northern Chile. Its name cuprea ("copper-colored") refers to the plant's characteristic metallic bronze to copper coloration, which distinguishes it from the more common silvery-gray Copiapoa species.
This species typically grows as a single, spherical to short-columnar shoot with clearly defined ribs, whose areoles bear short, dark spines. The smooth, metallic-colored epidermis gives the plant a sculptural, almost alien appearance, making it particularly sought after by collectors.
During its flowering period, Copiapoa cuprea produces small, bright yellow flowers that emerge from the apex, providing a striking contrast to its warm-toned body. Highly adapted to extreme drought, intense sunlight, and minimal humidity, this species grows slowly, is long-lived, and is particularly prized by Chilean cactus enthusiasts for its rare coloration, elegance, and desert-hardy resilience.
