Copiapoa solaris v. Botija
The available seeds are 5 purebred Copiapoa Solaris v. Botija seeds.
Copiapoa solaris v. Botija (Chile) is a rare and fascinating form of Copiapoa, native to the arid coastal regions of northern Chile.
This variety is distinguished by its striking, spherical to slightly columnar body, often covered with a silvery-grey coating that reflects the intense desert light – hence the name Solaris . The spines are short, dark, and evenly spaced, giving the plant a balanced, almost sculptural appearance.
As the plant ages, it can form small groups, with each shoot developing yellow flowers at its apex during the summer months.
Copiapoa solaris v. Botija is extremely drought-resistant, thrives in well-drained, mineral-rich soils, and prefers strong sunlight with minimal watering. It is a sought-after specimen for collectors due to its elegant appearance, robustness, and the subtle, almost ethereal sheen of its epidermis.
