Lophophora koehresii (viridescens) v. Rudolf Grym (Gallos Grandes, Tamaulipas, Mexico) is a rare, location-specific form of Lophophora. koehresii, native to the semi-arid region of Gallos Grandes in Tamaulipas, Mexico. This population was documented by collector Rudolf Grym and is known for its distinctive morphology and bright green coloration.

The plant forms small, flat, button-like bodies with a smooth, light green (viridescens) epidermis. The surface is divided into rounded, soft tubercles, each with small, white, woolly areoles distributed symmetrically across the crown. Mature plants usually remain solitary but can slowly form dense clumps under ideal conditions.

During the flowering period, delicate pink to light magenta flowers emerge from the central, woolly areoles, creating a striking contrast to the bright green body. Adapted to well-drained, calcareous soils and minimal rainfall, this population exhibits slow growth, high resilience, and excellent adaptation to the harsh conditions of its natural habitat. Its intense coloration, precise provenance, and elegant form make it a highly sought-after specimen for collectors of rare, site-specific Lophophora.
