Copiapoa angustiflora (5 cm)

The photo shows several specimens of Copiapoa angustiflora (5 cm) in cactus substrate. The plants are shipped exclusively in perfect condition and without substrate. They originate from EU seed cultivation and are 100% own-root propagated.

Copiapoa angustiflora (Chile) is a slow-growing, columnar cactus species from the coastal deserts of northern Chile. Known for its slender, elongated stems – hence the name angustiflora (“narrow-flowered”) – it is highly valued by collectors for its sculptural growth and delicate flowers.

This species typically develops cylindrical shoots with a grey-green to bluish-grey epidermis, segmented by distinct ribs and small areoles from which short, sturdy thorns may emerge. Mature plants usually remain solitary, but can occasionally produce offshoots at the base, gradually forming small clumps.

During its flowering period, Copiapoa angustiflora produces slender, funnel-shaped, mostly yellow flowers that emerge from the apex. Adapted to extreme drought, high sunlight, and nutrient-poor soils, this species grows very slowly but exhibits remarkable robustness – a particular highlight for enthusiasts of rare Chilean desert cacti.
