The photo shows several specimens of Copiapoa columna alba (4–5 cm) in cactus substrate. The plants are shipped exclusively in perfect condition and without substrate. They originate from EU seed cultivation and are 100% true to type.

Copiapoa columna-alba (Chile) is a striking species of Copiapoa native to the arid coastal deserts of northern Chile. It is valued for its tall, columnar habit, elegant form, and slow, sculptural growth.

This species typically develops tall, cylindrical stems with a smooth, bluish-gray to light green epidermis. The body is divided into distinct ribs bearing small areoles from which short to moderately long spines emerge, their color varying depending on the specific form. Over time, mature plants often remain solitary or slowly form small groups, creating a structured, architectural appearance.

During its flowering period, Copiapoa columna-alba produces bright yellow flowers that emerge from the apex, creating a striking contrast to the muted stem colors. Highly adapted to extreme drought, intense sunlight, and nutrient-poor, rocky soils, this species grows very slowly but exhibits remarkable resilience. Its tall, columnar growth habit, classic Copiapoa characteristics, and desert adaptations make it a highly sought-after collector's item for Chilean cactus enthusiasts.
