Lophophora JaBO 58 Diffusa v. Vizaron, QRO (Mexico) is a rare and site-specific form of Lophophora diffusa native to the semi-arid regions around Vizaron, Querétaro, Mexico. This population is valued for its compact growth, delicate coloration, and unique morphological characteristics.
This cactus typically develops small, flat, button-like shoots with a soft, light green to bluish-green epidermis. The surface is finely warty (tuberculated) and often nearly free of spider mites, resulting in a smooth, delicate appearance. Mature plants can slowly form small clumps, creating a subtle, textured growth pattern typical of this species.
During its flowering period, Lophophora JaBO 58 produces small, delicate flowers in shades of pink to light magenta on its crown, creating a gentle contrast to its understated body. Adapted to nutrient-poor, stony soils and minimal rainfall, this population grows very slowly but exhibits remarkable resilience. Its precise origin, delicate form, and rarity make it a highly prized specimen for collectors of Mexican cacti.
